Throw Back: Women In Design

I went through the many external hard drive archives and found the Women in Design reception from June 4, 2010. I recovered these photographs for Aaron Wentt, designer, front-end developer, and good friend.

These photographs for me personally were one of the greatest nights with my friends. Several students were involved in developing this successful gallery show with professors with the graphic design department. This show was the first gallery show at the Visual Arts Center to showcase professional women designers in the field.

"The nine designers who participated in this program are internationally recognized for their numerous and diverse contributions to the field. They included: Margo Chase, Chase Design Group, Los Angeles, CA; Louise Fili, Louise Fili Ltd, New York, NY; Karin Fong, Imaginary Forces, New York, NY; Carin Goldberg, Carin Goldberg Design, Brooklyn, NY; April Greiman, Made in Space, Los Angeles, CA; Rebeca Méndez, Rebeca Méndez Studio, Los Angeles, CA; Paula Scher, Pentagram, New York, NY; Lisa Strausfeld, Pentagram, New York, NY; and Deborah Sussman, Sussman/Prejza & Co., Inc., Culver City, CA." - Visual Art Center

Little Cameras, Amazing Quality

One of the many cool things I love about have creative friends is the abundance of sharing photographs, blogs, and videos we find the one web. Dave Alegre, Visionary Production Video Producer shared a the HD Hero2 video on youtube. This really cool eye candy video looks amazing! Looks like HD video according to Dave. It follows a question, is smaller better? What smaller equipment would help professionals in the long run? Sure bigger says alot about what you do, but I believe the more you blend. The better content you could cover.

Coffee Shop Stop

Picked up PDN issue for November 2011. Enjoying articles on Compact Camera for photojournalists and the transitions from staff photographer to freelance photographer. I'm giving this cozy seat at a coffee shop love because I'm going to stay longer then usual to read the magazine. I should be doing my homework, but for all students... I will do it at night. Thank God for the invention of light bulbs!

I'm going to comment this two article's tomorrow :D Show you what is on my mind. WHAT WHAT! Maybe... If I finish my homework...
